Home Based Sewing Business
Starting an online book selling business can be easy if you do it right. It is not uncommon to have 300% to 500% margins on the books you sell. If you love books and want to start a home based business then selling books online may be for you. Selling books online can be one of the most profitable home based businesses.
Mailing supplies and try out the different services available to online booksellers, while you are doing this do your research on where to source books. Learn the ropes of listing your books and fulfilling your orders. Start with your own books and sell them on only one marketplace - I recommend Amazon. Do not run out and buy books to sell and sign up for all sorts of subscriptions that you may eventually need (though not at the beginning). First of all START SLOW.
Once you have inventory and a way to manage it I would then recommend branching out to other markets where you can sell your books such a eBay and Alibris. Once you get the hang of it then you can slowly ramp up your business and start adding inventory and even use some software to manage it.
You will also need to learn how to effectively manage the prices of our books and polish your customer service in order to get positive feedback. Now that you have some book selling basics down it will be time to search out book sources to grow your business.
There are many helpful guides and forums out there that can help you start and grow your online bookselling business.
